Author and cultural critic Roxane Gay will be the 2020 Community MLK Celebration keynote speaker. Gay will deliver the keynote address at the Paramount Theater on Thursday, January 23, 2020. 

A free pre-event reception will begin at 5:30pm.

Jennifer Eberhardt, a social psychologist at Stanford University, will discuss her 2019 book "Biased: Uncovering the Hidden Prejudice That Shapes What We See, Think, and Do."

She is a 2014 MacArthur Genius Grant recipient, has been elected to the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and was named one of Foreign Policy's 100 Leading Global Thinkers. 

Across the world, youth activists like Greta Thunberg are influencing the global conversation on climate change. In the United States, young people of color are at the forefront of the climate movement and are taking a stand on climate change and environmental justice. Come be inspired by today's youth leaders of color as they share their experiences and knowledge in an interactive panel discussion - featuring Irsa Hirsi, Co-Founder of US Youth Climate Strike, Vic Barrett with Juliana v. United States, and Kaylah Brathwaite with Zero Hour.
