Ngayulu Nguraku Ninti | The Country I Know is comprised of colorful large-scale paintings by Anmatyerre artist Barbara Moore and three smaller works by emerging artist Sharon Adamson. The paintings represent the artists’ traditional homelands and are a rich and colorful expression of their relationship to it.

Barbara Moore grew up in Ti Tree and moved to Amata to live with her husband. She is a full-time senior health worker for Nganampa Health at Atama Clinic while simultaneously fully committed to her art practice, painting at Tjala Arts on a daily basis. She began painting in April 2003 and her work is held in numerous private collections in both Europe and Australia. In 2012 she won the General Painting Award at the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Award (Telstra Prize). Sharon Adamson is an emerging artist who also paints at Tjala Arts.

Sponsored by the Australia Council for the Arts.
