Virtual Event: Expert Chat, “Where Do We Go From Here? What Can Colleges and Universities Do to Improve Police-Community Relations?” with Brian Williams
Beginning January 21, Community Matters will be a weekly dinner where students and community members have the opportunity to join together for fellowship and discussion of issues relevant to the community. The dinners will take place at Blue Moon Diner on Main Street in Charlottesville from 6-8pm.
Dinners will be limited to the first 15 students who sign up (link to sign up form on flier) by noon the day of the dinner and students will receive a confirmation email that they are attending.
Community-based scholarship has long been a growing presence within higher education as faculty, students, and administrators alike have come to recognize its many benefits, including enhanced scholarship, improved student learning, and strengthened partnerships within their communities.
