Join us for "The New Age of Advocacy: Wide-ranging Tools to Effect Change" with Irma Palmer (MPP '15), current speechwriter for U.S. Senator Kamala Harris. Irma has more than a decade of experience working at the intersection of policy, politics and communications and will share myriad opportunities for advocacy, both through direction action and virtual channels. Irma is a double alumna of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Public Policy from the Batten School. She is also a graduate of the Sorensen Institute Political Leader’s Program. Irma is a member of the Batten School’s Advisory Board and the Virginia Women’s Chorus Alumnae Board of Trustees.
