The School of Architecture's annual MLK Exhibition showcases design work following the mindset of Dr. Martin Luther King. The exhibition begins with the School's chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects, 2019 Barbara G. Laurie Student Design Competition, submission for social housing in Brooklyn.
Also, visitors will be able to view the 20 semifinalist boards for the 2019 Monument Avenue: General Demotion/General Devotion competition in Richmond, through a collaboration with the Storefront for Community Design and mObstudio. Additionally Design ideas on Monument Avenue from 18 students in a cross-university seminar on the intersections of race/culture and design will be displayed.
