Please join us for a special evening dedicated to highlighting, celebrating, and inspiring community-engaged teaching and learning here at UVA. The event will open with welcoming remarks by President James E. Ryan, followed by a screening of Seats at the Table, a 90-minute documentary about UVA's Books Behind Bars program founded by Associate Professor Andrew Kaufman in 2009. Afterward, there will be a panel discussion moderated by Provost M. Elizabeth Magill.

Connecting Lives, Opening Hearts: Community-Engaged Teaching will serve as the marquee event for UVA'sPublic Service Week.
