Grievance Process for Reports of Title IX Prohibited Conduct

The University of Virginia (the “University”) is committed to providing a safe and non-discriminatory environment for all members of the University community. The University prohibits Quid Pro Quo Harassment, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, and Sex-Based Stalking (together, "Title IX Prohibited Conduct"). These forms of Prohibited Conduct are defined in the University's Policy on Title IX Harassment and Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct (the "Sexual Misconduct Policy"). This Appendix identifies the procedures (the "Grievance Process") the University follows when it receives a report alleging Title IX Prohibited Conduct by a Student or Employee.[1] The University uses this Grievance Process to respond to, investigate, and adjudicate any such allegation and to impose disciplinary sanctions against Students and Employees found responsible for violating the Sexual Misconduct Policy with regard to Title IX Prohibited Conduct.[2]

The Grievance Process for Reports of Title IX Prohibited Conduct (Appendix A) can be found in its entirety here
